The theme for the 2014 parade is “Gatlinburg Nose Christmas,” and here’s why: the city of Gatlinburg is making an attempt to break a Guinness World Record at the parade this year. We’ve put together a few of the most popular questions about the parade to show you how you can be a part of all of the fun:
  • Which record is the city of Gatlinburg trying to break at the Christmas parade?
Have you ever wanted to break a Guinness World Record? Well, this holiday season, you can! On December 5, 2014, beginning at 7:30 p.m., officials from the city of Gatlinburg will hand out red noses to over 20,000 parade attendees. Each attendee will be asked to wear the red nose for 5 minutes simultaneously. This will help break the record of the most red noses worn simultaneously at a single event. The current record was made in 2011 in Australia with a record count of 16,092 red noses worn simultaneously. You can read more about the current Guinness World Record here:
